An old postcard showing the western portal of Lappal tunnel on the Dudley No. 2 Canal. It was the fourth longest canal tunnel in Britain (after Standedge, Strood & Sapperton). It closed in 1917 and very little remains of it now. |

The entrance to the former Cumberland Arm of the Regents Canal. The main line diverges on the left. The Arm terminated at Cumberland Basin near Euston Station. It was closed during Word War 2 and infilled with rubble from war damaged London. Most of the line has now been built on. 28th April 2007. |
